Church History

True Word Christian Center International, founded by Bishops Brenda and Barry Pearson, is dedicated to preparing people for eternal life while teaching them to live abundantly. We are a place of God’s glory, salvation, deliverance, Holy Spirit empowerment, true worship, and discipleship—cultivating a community filled with love, joy, and peace.

Statement of Belief

Statement of Belief

  • We believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth.

  • We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to redeem mankind and restore fellowship with the Father.

  • We believe that Jesus was crucified, died on the cross, was buried, but was raised from the dead on the third day, and now sits at the right hand of God

  • We believe that we are born again through our faith and in confession of Jesus and His finished work

  • We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead and is the power of God.

  • We believe that every born again believer must be filled with the power of the Holy Ghost.

  • We believe in the unity of the Body of Christ and the fellowship of the saints.

  • We believe in the resurrection of the body to everlasting life for those who receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and eternal separation from God for those who reject Jesus Christ.

  • We believe that Jesus is coming back again for the church, His bride.
